DIDDY LAUNCHING MUSIC-THEMED CABLE NETWORK

It looks like Diddy is about to add another notch to his ever-expanding resume. According to Broadcasting & Cable, the Bad Boy mogul is set to launch Revolt, a music-themed network that will make it's debut on 12/12/12.

Former MTV programming chief Andy Schuon is reportedly involved with the well-funded venture. He previously headed a music channel called International Music Feed (IMF). Diddy says that the network will be like the early years of MTV, but geared toward a black audience. Don't we have a channel like that already? It's called BET aka the Negro Network. I would have expected Diddy to launch a black version of Logo before the idea of Revolt, but until the channel launches and I see what kind of programming makes the line up, I'll hold my tongue until December.
